First Day of Fall Reds

Went out fishing last week on the first day of fall. I felt the need to start the season off good so I took the day off with my wife and we headed out early and fished a nice out going tide. We got into the reds pretty quick and it was on, lost a couple big fish but had a great time. Looked for trout all over and could only catch shorts other than one 17". Went out to 17 feet of water and got into a school of bonito (first time I have gotten into them out of St. Marks that shallow), absolute blast on light tackle. Tight lines love fall fishing
