My brother came in town for the weekend. Fished alligator point and dog island reef area. There was a lot of grass but the fish were biting in mostly 6 to 8feet. Caught 4 keeper trout, a few spanish, and one keeper red. Also, had plenty of undersized to keep us busy including grouper and red snapper near dog island reef. We didn't expect larger fish since we were in a 13' whaler and we had a few big runs that ran a fully loaded 5000 reel to the backing and got rocked up a few times. Moved back inshore and spooked two cobia in three feet of water. Lost what was probably a bull red on a piling. Overall, good day despite the misses.

We went out of st. Marks on monday. Caught a few keeper reds and trout and several reds that were just under. All were caught near oyster bars at the mouth of the river.

Fished jig and top water most of the time. Snapper were caught shrimp. Grouper on gulp. Trout and reds and jigs and top water.

This is my first post so no pics until I figure it out.
