Daughter's 1st Crossbow Buck

My oldest daughter (16) shot her first buck at the age of 9, a basket 8-point she took with a 270. Since that time she has hunted with me quite a bit trying to get something to put on the wall. She's had several opportunities to shoot nice bucks but they never quite "felt right" or the opportunity passed by too quickly. This year we decided to try using a cross-bow to see if we couldn't get a jump on the deer. After getting it all sighted in and making sure she was spot on target with her shots, we hit the stand. On the very first hunt we had several bucks and does come in during the first 1.5 hours. After patiently waiting another 30 minutes or so, the buck below came in. She was able to harvest him with one shot, clean heart/lung shot that dropped him after a short run. She shot her first buck with one shot and dropped him. She shot her second buck (this one), with one shot and dropped him. We stress that animals are to be harvested, not wounded and she and my other daughter have done a fine job of following through with this philosophy. Good bonding time....
P.S. I don't know why some pics turn out sideways, I'm pretty computer challenged....
