Need advice on a Key West charter

Question for the group:

Going to a wedding in Key West in February, the groom would like to take his guys out on a charter. The problem is he was hoping to do 12-14 guys and not split them up but also does not want to do a crowded head boat.

I am not aware of anything in between the typical 4-6 man charters and a head boat. Was thinking a possible compromise may be a smaller head boat that might let us private charter the whole boat, but not sure how realistic that possibility is.

Any and all input, even the sarcastic variety, greatly appreciated! :-D

Normal capacity is six passengers (hence 6-pack commercial license). Might be able to find a larger sport fish that is licensed for more, but it sure is gonna be crowded and pricey. The head boat option is probably not what he wants for a tailored buddy trip.

Most of the top guides in Key West like RT Trossett fish light tackle aboard mid-size center consoles with 3-4 anglers tops. So the best bet would probably be contact one of them and explain the situation. Most have relationships with other guides for a package deal so the group could fish in the same areas aboard multiple boats. February is prime snow bird/tourist season, though, so he'd better act quick to secure anything at all.

Good luck and our sympathies!
