Keaton Beach 11/5

Post by jsaunders »

Caught a 3-man limit of keeper trout(biggest was 21"), 6 spanish mackerel, 2 bluefish, and 20-30 short trout on Saturday off Keaton Beach. We fished from 9am-4pm, mainly in 4-6 foot of water. Most of the trout were caught on a 1/4 ounce chartreuse jighead paired with a 4" Gulp swimmin' mullet in pearl white, with the rest caught on live shrimp under bomber popping corks. The spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on a Mirrorlure She Dog and Cotton Cordell Redfin.

Yea, it was definitely a good day of fishing. 3 of the 6 Spanish we caught were over 25". They were a ton of fun on light spinning tackle.
