Keaton Beach 11/11

Took the opportunity Friday to fish Keaton Beach on Veterans day with my wife (actually she reads, I fish 
). There were a lot of boats on the water enjoying the nice weather. We fished from around 9 to 1:30 and picked up a limit of trout (none I was all that proud of but they eat well) and a nice redfish. The water temps started out at 62 then warmed up to 66 later on. Somewhat unusual, all the trout I picked up were males, I guess the ladies were somewhere I wasn't. I primarily fished in 3-5' of water, so maybe the ladies were out a little deeper? I tried top-waters, lipped plugs, some catch 2000's, and gulps, but they primarily wanted pin fish. All in all a good day.
