His EPA comments concern me.

Who knows where the Fenholloway would be without the EPA stepping in and forcing the paper mill to clean up its effluent.

What good is a fish limit if there are no edible fish to eat?

The Fenholloway got cleaned up only after the mill was sold. The prior owners basically told the EPA to go to grass for years and years.

I haven't heard that Trump is going to unwind the traditional EPA, but some of these new "carbon" regs are just plain dumb and too expensive.

In March 2016, Fox news quoted Trump's assertion that he would "eliminate the Education Department and the Department of Environmental Protection." Regarding the latter: "We're going to have little tidbits left, but we're going to get most of it out." Maybe he meant EPA (Federal) instead of of DEP (Florida). I don't think a president can eliminate a state agency.

Trumps understanding of fishery issues is limited to the Fillet of Fish sandwich at McDonalds. Wouldn't hold out too much hope he will do anything good on fisheries.

I don't care if he knows anything about fisheries management as long as he understands and works on federal government over-regulation in general. Probably not on his first 100 day agenda but maybe it will trickle down.

I remember when it was hard to find a redfish around here...until regulation...be careful what you wish for
