Well, after spending a bunch of fuel driving all over South Ga. and No. Florida, I checked a hole less than a quarter mile from the house and found some birds. Went this morning and me and my bud limited on woodies. When I looked at them yesterday morning I was sure they were ringers, because the pond was wide open. Seems they were landing and climbing up in the woods to eat acorns.

Good morning here.... not as good as we expected but nothing broke and all the patched decoys floated.

An exploratory boat ride....at least I wasn't skunked on the opening weekend. I did have a 4pt deer on Saturday 30 ft from me for about 10 minutes which was neat.
