SK, aside from a ladder have you tried one of those chainsaw chains on a rope. I had seen/heard about them for years and thought they were hokey. I found one at a garage sale and I was surprised at how well it did on some highup limbs. Might give one a try.. however it may make you sweat a little...

I have an old fiberglass extension ladder, but I am not sure of the length. I will check it this evening.

HAVEN'T CUT ANY LIMBS WITH MY .22 , BUT IT DOES A GOOD JOB ON MISTLETOE, I HAVE USED IT FOR ABOUT 10 YRS CUTTING MISTLETOE OUT OF TWO BIG RED OAK TREES IN THE BACK YARD.
