Re: Yates Creek
I'm going to do my best here... but there are SO many resources out there to get this yourself.
Heck, go to Google Maps, find Yates Creek, click at the mouth, and there you have it - displayed for all your pleasure.
CLICK HERE and get some practice in. a whole lot of stuff to learn around the area.
Have you fished around there before? Where will you be launching? You seem new here, so ask away... but know our next NFGFC tournament is out of Keaton Beach, so mouths will stay relatively closed on this board until after March 4th.
BUT - come on down to the North Florida Gulf Fishing Club meeting on March 2nd at Beef O'Brady's on Thomasville Road in Tallahassee. 7pm. Capt. Pat McGriff will be speaking, and he is the local guide/expert.

Re: Yates Creek
Thanks for the response guys. Just found the forum today and have enjoyed reading some of the older threads.
@galantnole thanks for the info don't use computer much so didn't realize I could do that. Fished out of Keaton a good bit as kid, and finally saved up enough for a boat myself last year have been going a good bit, and have always done good on trout was hoping to fish those bars in front of Yates for reds. Live in middle GA and try to get down that way every chance I can when I get the time off work (sheriff's deputy) taking the wife next week and will surely post a report if I get on them. Pat McGriff is good for sure have watched several videos with him.

Re: Yates Creek
I was looking at the website and it is unclear what the targeted species for the tournament is. All I saw was the mystery fish is Black Sea bass, not sure what that means.galantnole wrote:I'm going to do my best here... but there are SO many resources out there to get this yourself.

Re: Yates Creek
This is on my list of things to check out. It's just outside of my stomping grounds and I'm not a big flats fisherman. I'm always looking for a new place for my mullet fishing though. Are there usually many at the landing?
