I have one of those blue rod and reel packages from Kevin's like the picture on this site. I like it but the opposite nut on the winding handle keeps coming loose.

Is this a locktite moment or is there another trick to stop this?

Blue locktite, in case you need to take it off sometime.

Like SK said or you might try a thin strip of Teflon pipe tape on the threads.
