Wanting to take my 10 year old to Econfina tomorrow.
Anyone else going out. Weather looks iffy maybe the wind will lay a little.
Any recent reports?

FYI, There are a couple of Tournaments going on tomorrow. One for sure out of Econfina ramp with probably 7- 12 boats just a guess. and the Red Trout shootout. Not sure how many of those folks will fish that area. With the format of 1 big trout and 1 big red I would say there might be an additional dozen or so boats along with the regular crowd weather permitting.

Got a late start. On the water about 3:30 fished till 7:30.
One 18 inch keeper a few shorts, bsb and cats.
Had something big on cut bait out the back of the boat but came unbuttoned.
Ate oysters and shrimp at Deals. Spending the night in Perry will try again tomorrow .

A trip to Deal's makes everything right with the world!

What area and depth did you fish? Where you gonna try today?

We've had good luck lately between Aucilla and Ecofina mouth over spotty bottom. The water has been cleaner there than towards Rock island. 5-7' if using gulp make sure has yellow in it.

Hit and miss you still going today?
We are waiting on rain to get out of here and then going out.

. Not today. Maybe next weekend. Look for clear water over spotty bottom. If you fish pins do small ones. And don't drag them most of the time if the pole is not in my hands when it gets hit. It's a lost fish. We tried deals the last trip. Sure was good food.

The afternoon bite has not been good this week.

We might be heading down this weekend. Got a buddy that moved back this way from up north and trying to get him his fix. LOL

We never went back out. Will try again in two weeks.
