Hello All,

I fish over by the lighthouse in St. Marks about once a month and I usually get a bunch of trout this time of the year. This year I have been catching plenty of reds and spanish, but no trout. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing anything like this?

You will have to get away from all that fresh water dumping out of the river to find trout right now.

Agreed - too much freshwater. Go deeper. Or try changing your username to Troutslayer. :-D

Just got a report from a wade fisherman that the trout are coming back around the river again. He said he caught several nice trout of topwater in front of the light house today along with quite a few spanish.

I wonder if it was the guy at the end of the jetty. He looked like he knew what he was doing. I knew what I was doing to...which is why I didn't get my hopes up lol I was looking for mullet to catch the old fashioned way but fooled around and lost my fishing shoes and I didn't feel like cutting my foot. I tried the bridges (Aucilla, Wacissa, Econfina) but the water's so dang dark that you might not catch any even if they're down there on the bottom.

Do the mullet go into that East River Pool thing? I caught a bass out of there. That will go down as my first fish out of the East River.
