I just talked to my daughter on cell phone and they are on the way back from St. Marks. Her freind's Dad rented a pontoon boat and they ran out of gas. GW towed them in. They were stuck in a rain, some lightning.
Could've been worse, they are now safe.
I don't think I trust this Dad too much though.

OUCH, sorry to hear they ran out. Unless you have to run a long ways to outrun a storm how do you run out of gas. You got to know your limits.

I came back in and enjoyed a sandwich, waiting for that same storm to blow through. I saw the man towing that pontoon in, with another one giving them an escort. It did get kind of nasty out there. I had the family with me, so as soon as it started to look bad, I took them to the hill. It never did quit raining so we headed for the house. Try again in the morning.

We headed out of Econfina and were able to stay until about 2pm before the weather ran us off. We spotted a water spout a few miles south of us, but it was smooth as glass and HOT, right up until about time to head in. Rocket, I tried to raise you several times, but I see now why I missed you. Better luck tommorow. By the way, we didn't see any Scallops over our way, and the few people at the ramp I talked to had a pretty slow go of it.
