Power Pole review

Post by onefishtwofish »

Older 6' Power Pole Pro Series came on my boat. Have enjoyed it, need a longer one, maybe Santa will be good to me.

Been having a very slow leak over the years and last week it started really leaking. Turned out to be the hydraulic ram is actually cracked at the base. A quick phone call to Power Pro, talked to a human in just a couple of minutes. Told him what was wrong, he told me what was needed. Got an account set up, and he has a new one on the way and it will be here tomorrow. I had checked online to see what a new ram would cost ($189.00). This unit is pre 2007 (when I bought the boat). He threw in a quart of Green Marine and gave me a discount on the ram, the whole thing, after shipping and tax was $155. I discussed the install, asked about the new units (and if a wave actuator could be retrofitted to mine- he said that they no longer sold that as they were not happy with how it worked).

Just wanted to echo what I had always heard, their customer service is tops. Just can't ask any better service on a 10 year old system. Wish everyone was that easy and professional. In the saltwater environment, stuff breaks, it is nice to know that help is a fast phone call away.

No doubt Power Pole is the best in the business! I have heard countless raves and never one bad experience with their customer service. I too had a problem with my 10' blade. The knuckle at the top was cracked. I called and not only a new part but a new spike and all the hardware was shipped next day without any cost. And like you the pp was on the boat when I bought it. It's crazy how great of a company pp is.

Not crazy, it's the way companies should work. I'm a member of the PowerPole choir as well. They replaced the control board on unit installed on the boat I sold to someone else, at no charge. That customer service--along with excellent products to begin with--are the reasons why they're so successful.
