minn kota trolling motor-usable but could be better

Minn Kota 55lb trolling motor. 12V, bow mount, tiller handle, riptide. Well used but does work fine at slow speeds. At top speeds makes clanking noise. Have not gotten an estimate for repairs but the trolling motor repair place in Tally will do the repairs. Would like $25. Located north of Crawfordville off Oak Ridge rd.

Do you know the shaft length?

40" from the bottom of the control tiller to the top of the motor. I'm not sure if this is how to measure this but I have it on my tracker boat and I have it in the water a few inches above the propeller and most of the shaft is above the stop wing nut.
