Went Tuesday 1-23-2018 to the Aucilla River to try some bunched-up trout fishing. Out going tide, but plenty of water to launch and fish. There was one other motor boat and a plastic craft (kayak) also fishing. From the 3 boats and 4 fishermen not 1 bite. No reds, no whites, no blues; nothing. We threw almost everything in the tackle box and went from the springs above the ramp to the fork in the river and did not get a bite. You never know. About 10:30 we decided to head to the fort in St. Marks and see if there was a flotilla fishing. Not too many boats, maybe 5 drifting and anchored, so we join in a caught a few shorts and a couple nice keepers. Used d-hooker and did not touch any fish that didn't go into the supper box. When the tide went slack, we went home. It's always good to go fishing and "you never know" what may happen.

Well that’s not good to hear, going there first thing in the am then gonna transition to econfina for the afternoon and stay overnight there, hope we can find something

Wow, that's a lot different from last week. Must be the quarter moon.
