Mrs. Geno wants to see the manatees. Is Wakaulla Springs the best shot at seeing them in easy driving distance from Tallahassee?

I doubt you'll see them this time of year without being on a boat.
I've been seeing them further up the St marks river about 2 miles north of 98 but they are moving around quite a bit. They like warmer water.
Havent been up the wakulla in over a month so they might be there in larger numbers(makes sense because the spring puts out more there).
I'd launch at Shadeville Rd/Wakulla river and work south for the best chance.
I'm always at shields and they usually hang out under my boat or around there but havent seen them in a month or so. The end point for looking would probably be the confluence of the rivers @ the fort.

Wakula State Park springs are usually loaded with sea cows this time of year.

We went to the state park (Wakulla) and there were about ten of them there yesterday.
