Had to get out 1 last time before our return to reality for a few weeks. The "Horsefly" has been having a blast!

Kid's grown up on the waters of South Tampa Bay and probably caught more fish at 10 than most 3 times his age

His 20 1/2" was the big fish in the boat today.

Water was coffee and cream, even worse than 6_1.

But with live bait, the dirtier the better anyway, they'll smell it.



I've got a warning as well...there's some really, really big fish around. A couple that actually may be part bird that will smoke a little Okuma 30a in about 3 seconds.

Thanks for the post and for taking that kid fishing. That's true conservation effort. We went out from the light house at first light yesterday (6-5-18) and did not find the red fish. Caught a couple trout (only landed one) and a lady fish liked the top water lure, but no cats. The water was salt tea (not sweet) in the 4,5,6 feet ranges and the water temp was 80 to 83. Fished the backed of Big Cove and Horns Creek and only saw a couple really big porpoises working the mullet (those guys are good). Great day on the water and good time with ole buddy.
