line capacity

Why can I never get as much line on a reel as the manufacture specs says it will hold? It doesn't matter if I do it our have Kevin's put it on. If it was just a difference of a few yards, no big deal but it's more like 25%-30%. As an example the last reel I purchased was a Lexa-WN 300. The specs say it will hold 300 yards of 55lb braid. Kevin's could only get 250 yards of 30lb power pro.

The line capacity of the 300 model is 180 yards of 55lb test braid. You are looking at the specs for the 400 model. http://www.daiwa.com/us/contents/reels/ ... index.html

I am looking at the box it came in "55-300, 80-200". Lexa-WN 300HSL-P. I checked out the link you sent and those spec's do match up with the 400 model. I guess they printed the line capacity for the 400 on the 300 box. Everything else seams to be correct.
