Lanark early morning

Pulled into town at 2 last night and got the twins in bed and asleep by 3. Woke up at 545 and decided to fish off a dock near my house for the morning bite. Got there around 6 and the wind was howling. Grass was fouling my topwater farther out but close in it was thin enough so I could work my bait. Water was extremely stained. As the sun came up the breeze turned cold on my back and it drizzled for a minute. Then it calmed down for about 15 minutes. Nailed a nice red and then the wind started howling again. Fished a little more but it was white capping and there was no sign of fish. Threw a gulp out to try for flounder and didn’t even get a pinfish nibble. Looks like the trout have pushed out to deeper water. Got dinner though and watched the sunrise. Can’t beat that!!!
