Wind from the east

Fish bite the least. Held true for me at Shell Point yesterday. Other than a couple of bitten off flies, presumably Spanish, nil, zilch, and nothing. Hit some oyster bars and also ventured into deeper water looking for bait. Really very little activity. I thought the water clarity was still poor.

That's why it's called "fishing" and not "catching"

I'm starting to think the wind from the east isn't just an old wive's tale.

Pretty much the same thing held true in PC's east bay. Water is still the color of strong tea and what I thought was odd was the bait was everywhere you looked but nothing hitting them. Did manage a couple short reds and 23 trout of which 3 hit the cooler so it was a slow but still productive day throwing a swimbait. Looking forward to my new 8 wt and reel arriving next week so I can try to catch one on the fly. I'm probably gonna need lots of advice!
