I installed these a couple weeks ago and they sounded great with just the receiver pushing them. After I added a 400 watt amp they really woke up. Now I have bass’itis.
My plan was to add a sub for bass, but I could not find a good spot for it. So I’m going to try four 8” speakers instead.
$150 for both pairs.

I have 4 8” and 2 6” JL’s ( was easier to replace the old 6’s than to reglass the console) with a 400 watt amp and I’m more than impressed with the bass. Thanks Greg (hit and miss). I think you will be happy unless you really have a bad case of bassitis. If that is the case, only a big ol sub will do. A good thing about getting a head unit and not just a Bluetooth receiver/control is that you can adjust your levels. Good luck

Hit-n-Miss pointed me in the right direction with the ROckford Fosgate head unit and speakers.
Unfortunately I found a used RF amp and since I have the “power” I might as well use it.
Those 6.5s are very impressive for.....well 6.5s.

Bassitis love it,

It is addictive.

Make sure and check your depth(clearance) before you order/cut.

.... Thanks Salty Gator your boat rocks!
