Tow Boat US has a boat based in St. Marks. They offer different levels of coverage. It's around $100 a year for up to $500 per incident.

The unlimited towing option from Tow Boat US is the way to go. It's $99 per year on top of the $19 Boat US membership. It covers the entire tow no matter how long or how much.

I'd be interested in hearing from our folks if they've used this service.

I had insurance on my last boat ,and intend to put it on my new one. I'm fairly certain my coverage included towing. I don't remember the specifics, but if you have insurance on your boat, you might already have towing coverage as well.

We had to use Joefisher's one day while coming into the Carrabelle River and the lower unit let go. They towed us from the mouth to C-quarters and without insurance I want to say it would have been about $1000 bucks.
The folks that run Tow Boat in our area are some of the best folks in the state.

I haven't used them my self, but one of the times I fished out of shell point this year, I did hear a boater contact tow boat US out of St. Marks.
The stranded boaters were fishing around grey mare. The tow boat made it to them in less than 30 minutes.
I know it's not that far, but the service seemed to be very responsive.
By the way, the stranded boaters did have a GPS and were able to give their coords to the tow boat to help him locate them quickly.
