Anyone concerned about six exploratory oil wells on four pads in Calhoun County, near the Dead Lakes, Apalachicola River and Chipola River?

With the advent of fracking, the US is awash in oil. This proposed drilling- which could potentially destroy the entire watershed- is unmitigated greed. Moreover, no drills or rigs are leak-proof, despite claims by the industry.
The current EPA is a defanged, impotent agency, enfeebled by the politicians and industry lobbyists and CEOs. Protests or letters may help.

Could be bad or it could be a nothing burger. Drilling is far advanced from the days of gushing rigs. More than likely they will require directional drilling from outside the lake.

Its not like this is something new in that area, there are dozens of wells in that area.

Offshore wells? That doesn't make sense.

For those that fish offshore the Exxon Template is an old oil test rig. Not sure how long it has been there but I remember going to it 25 years ago. I would hate to see our area look like southern LA our have any fracking in this region either.

This prohibition does not apply to the transportation of oil and gas products produced outside of such waters. This subsection is self-executing.
