I believe slamming a hatch can scare fish away but oldies playing loudly on my radio seems to attract them.

I'll give it a try tomorrow, my fishing partner has a thing for Huey Lewis and the news otherwise I'm gonna try 90s country on Pandora, I don't think the fish will appreciate 5 finger death punch.
