Email Spoofing and Viruses

If anyone gets and email with an attachment from me (or more correctly with my name on it) or anyone else on the site that you did not specifically expect or ask for, DELETE it.

A lot of our email addresses have been spoofed and being used to spread spam and viruses. This is really the price of doing anything on the internet and is no ones fault or can anything really be done about it.

You really should be suspect of anything with an attachment that you do not expect and should treat eveything as hostile until you know otherwise. Also if you don't have some sort of UP TO DATE virus scan software that checks your incoming and outgoing emails for viruses AUTOMATCALLY, then you are part of the problem and not the solution.

Also when sending emails, send VERY SPECIFIC subject lines to help weed out potential spoofed emails.

Be smart about this stuff and you'll avoid all sorts of problems.
