St Marks 4/25

Post by SouthernPointe »

Fished east of the lighthouse to the Aucilla River in various spots on the flats from daylight till noon. Morning was flat and the wind picked up to 15-25 out of the south in the afternoon. Fished mainly in 2-4’. Water was clear with some floating grass. Water temp was 73-75 degrees.

Caught close to three dozen trout in the 14-16” range. Picked up two trout in the 22-25” range. Fished mainly spotted bottoms using only artificial bait. Picked up a flounder and one short Red.

All fish were released for y’all to catch.

I have also never seen the ramp or water so busy. Y’all stay safe.

My buddy and I put in at the Aucilla. Pretty much the same results Sunday with an overslot red. My buddy scored and inshore slam. Great way to practice social distanceing.
