Disadvantage to stashing kayaks in the swamp

Drug one of my cheapo kayaks out of a woodsy hiding place today to fish Horns Creek. Not a lot of action, but ended up with one overslot trout. Paddling back, I felt a tickle on both thighs. Apparently, a family of mice had nested in the back of the kayak, and I woke them up. They were scrambling from underneath my seat, into my lap and up my legs. Glad nobody else was there to hear me freak out.

Better mice than a rattler or two! Or a nest of fire ants.

Or are you considering this a "catch?" If so, please don't post your recipe and foodie review lol

Wow, that is certainly an unexpected surprise. I hope you didn't sustain any bites from your visitors.
