Where in Tally can you dispose of expired flares?

The Leon County landfill office on Apalachee Parkway. They will take them as hazardous waste and dispose.

Re: Flares
Is it bad to keep them for backups? A fellow probably couldn't own too many flares could he?

I'm not sure what the statutes say, but if you do keep them probably best to label as expired/back-up on a bag and store in a separate place from the active ones.

Re: Flares
Thanks for the landfill suggestion. I have been keeping an expired pack on the boat with an active pack. These are twice expired.

IF.......you ever are unlucky enough to need to use those flares, I bet you would not discriminate against firing off the older ones.
You can't have too much ammo. In my humble opinion.

I keep some in the truck for road emergencies. Or you could burn one in the yard to see how they work.
Re: Flares
I had some old ones and decided to shoot them off with the rest of my fireworks on the forth this year. Felt like it was less of a waste, and we got a show.
They were way past expiration and everyone still worked! Kept a few since they were still good. As others have mentioned, in an emergency having a few extras cirtainly doesn't hurt.

Just don't use the flares as some sort of gimmick for a gender reveal party in California.
