Drove south through rain yesterday afternoon, then waded into two and three feet of water at 4 PM. Sky overhead was clear, with lots of cool cloud formations, dark and light, off to the west.

Fished pinfish for an hour, but no action but one tug. Water was remarkably clear, and very calm. Lots of swishes and swirls on the surface. Saw a net caster cleaning up on mullet.

So I switched to cut mullet. Risked getting a DS, but thankfully got none. In 15 minutes, I had a 25" double-spotted redfish.

I really needed that! :)

Good job, Aucilla. I have beach fished a lot, but never got a red. Maybe that means the fish are finally coming in close. At least ya got ta go! :D
