Anyone ever heard or used the Garmin 94 CV? Or what about the Garmin 94 SV? Can’t find much information on the 94 “CV” using google or YouTube.

SV is Side View and Down View.

CV is Clear View or Down View only

I’ve used the 94 SV for the last 4 years.

Currently have the touchscreen model.

Are you content with it? It’s what I have going on the new rig. (The CV model) ..but I’m feeling like making a change to the SV.

When I needed a new GPS/bottom machine, I had convinced myself that I needed side view, so I got one. I quickly realized that I am only seeing about two feet on either side of the boat or less since I primarily fish in six or less feet of water.
It is really nice on those few occasions when I am fishing in ten or more feet of water but those are rare occasions and if I had it to do over again would probably take a pass on the side view.

That’s exactly where my mind was going. Thinking side view is better. And fishing the flats I was starting to wonder just how effective it could be. Thank you for this input, I with stick with what I have chosen.

I got my Garmin 94SV delivered for $650 when I bought it 1 1/2 yr ago.
On the flats I never use SV but haven't been out deep enough with it yet. It was a good deal with all the features and I like the touch screen

I fish mainly offshore and Sideview helped me find many artificial reefs that had been relocated after Hurr Michael.

If I fished structure in water over 10’ I would buy SV. But SV is not going to do anything for you floating in 3-5ft over grassflats.
