Here’s a little different flavor red that I caught last week. I could have went today but wussed out after the rain. I’m going to go before a whole week goes by again though. I caught these out of a sinkhole on an OOP color Rebel Crawfish believe it or not.
I took many pictures today, but I’ll only post 1 was because as nice as they were, they didn’t do justice today. It was just killer out there. I saw so many things I hadn’t seen in a really long time which is appropriate because tomorrow I’m bringing my Uncle here who is 79 IIRC, who hasn’t been here since he was a youngun. Hopefully he’ll enjoy it the same way. I walked today to make sure it was safe. We’ll take the boat tomorrow.
He wants to go to some spot on the Santa Fe Riverh where neither of us have ever been. Is anybody here an expert? I need to figure out if the place on it that he’s talking about has a name. Tomorrow is a practice trip. If he can still hang then we’re going there next before the end of summer.
It’s that time of year, fish are everywhere. Chased cobia 2 weekends ago. Dog sat for my parents at CSB Memorial Day weekend. Trout, flounder and reds were abundant is SJB.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
What did you use to score that meat with? That definitely has my attention, especially for my Uncle who likes his fish as rare as possible without being raw.
