I would like to know what the water clarity is between St. Marks and Econfina. Is there a lot of fresh water? Thanks

I fished with some friends yesterday from Deep Creek to Cobb Rocks, we found the water pretty clear with 4-6 foot visibility and some tannin stain.
The tannin was evident but was not dark.

I fished out of panacea on Saturday and it was stained all the way to the o shoals. I fished the Aucilla area yesterday and it was like black coffee

Went Saturday to Aucilla. First time out since July with my son. We fished from about 11:00-3;00 in 3-6 feet of water, using gulps and live shrimp under popping cork. Water was stained pretty good. Managed 5 nice trout once tide started coming in, moved around a good bit. No shorts or trash fish, just the trout. Beautiful day on the water. Did manage to find a rock not far from the landing on the way out...thought it would have ripped the lower unit off but we got lucky with just nice chunk out of skeg....another Aucilla scar.

Clear water is not your friend … I repeat the prettier the water the harder the fishing.
