Labor Day Redfish

Labor Day saw 25+ knot winds in honor of gag grouper season opening, so we stayed inshore. It's been a few months of transom repair and repower, but the Wahoo is finally back in the water. Up the East River on a falling tide, redfish were active. Several nice upper-slot reds and a few 19-inchers on cut pinfish chunks. Two reds came home for dinner, the rest safely back in the water. Tried drifting the flats for trout, nothing but whitecaps and wind. All in all a great day on the water!
