Hoping to go 9/27 and target some trout. Any report on water depth fish are being caught?

I sure hope someone will provide some answers to your question as I was about to post the same. I’m headed to Steinhatchee 10/9 to try and corral some trout and whatever else might be silly enough to bite. My youngest son was down couple weeks back and the trout he found were mostly shorts and in 5-6 ft but he was fishing limited availability as he had his young family with him. Good luck on your trip and looking forward to hearing results.

Well, my son and I are finally headed back to Steinhatchee this Thursday to fish the weekend and hope to corral some trout. Maybe some reds, cobia, bluefish, shiners, catfish whatever just hoping for some tugs on the line. Weather looks good so real excited. Has anyone been down there recently and seen what the floating grass situation was as I’d rather catch one on topwater than 5 any other way. If anyone fished there and has any kind of report it just adds to the excitement. Hopefully I’ll try to report on our trip next week.
