What are they?

Scott had some at Jerry's a week ago. I make my own with a worm hook, a hitch-hiker, and a DOA pinch weight.

BPS has them.
The ones I have used had some jagged edges from the casting flash. If you polish them up a little with some fine emery cloth they won't tear up your baits nearly as bad.

Bought some today at Howell's Bait and Tackle...I will let you know how they do....Looks like they might tear the bait up....We will find out tomorrow evening

He probably saw your jawja plates, and asumed you had no clue what you were doing.

What is the purpose of "flutters" ?
It seems to be like a small jig head.

It supposingly makes the lure stay parallel with the bottom and sink..where a jig head makes the lure dive head first to the bottom...

You also rig them "Texposer" style so they are weedless.
