Not implying someone would do this, but you need to really inspect and check out any boat you might be looking at purchasing in the near future....I would assume there are quite a few damaged ones between New Orleans and Punta Gorda....But don't assume a good deal is damaged either, some folks are getting hammered with two deductibles on their home owners and might need some deductible money....

Just some things that has crossed my mind this week.....

I saw a shrimp (commercial) boat sunk in the ICW at Port St. Joe yesterday.....

I don't know..just saw it on it's side as I passed over the ICW yesterday....

Saw this pic on FS.....Mexico beach..If that guy/gal is 5 foot tall that is a big wave.....

Your boat has seen some things

Florida freakin insurance system is insane. Some areas 2 % of the value is your deductible, unless you pay more for a lower. huricane, and wind is extra. What a crock.

My boss called to make sure I made it home....We started talking about insurance..He said his insurance normally has a $500 deductible, but if anywhere in the state of Florida comes under a hurricane warning...it automatically goes to $5K....Another lady told us that her parents had a $2 million dollar house on the beach and the most coverage they could get was $800K....I'm sure there will be some horror stories related to Ivan before it's over....

I did ride over to where the tornado sat down on Thomas Drive....There is stuff tore up from Capt. Andersons all the way up to where you turn to go to Bay Point....Even today there are cars still on there sides, roofs with gapping holes and trash every where....Even my seafood place is without power....I can't imagine what Pensacola looks like..
