My philosophy on fishin' times, is ... anytime you can ?? Earlier today I was discussing fishing plans, an a friend ask whether or not " I knew the feedin' times " ... Or atleast "thats my story and I'm stickin' to it"

... Question is: Are feeding times (like the one I got out of the Oct. issue of Woods & Water mag.) will that dog hunt??? Does it matter weather its salt or fresh ? deep or shallow ? flats ?

Yes the feeding times are correct and generally right on... If all parts to the equation are in place...
Feed is based off the moon 90% of the time.... They will tend to be more active based off the tide (moon)...If the weather sucks, then less fish are active and if your fishing on a sand bar looking for marlin, (structure) you might not do well....
Chalks equation for fish catching:
Moon + variable (weather or fish holding structure) = success
If you have both variables you will be very successful...
This is an equation for Mother Nature...Personal presentation of lures is all up to you my friend....
