Yeah, ok, it was a nice sunset. 5 pm, 3 of us met at the lighthouse with kayaks, live shrimp and all the other hardware.
It was just nice to be out there... (The official saying for: we ain't caught a damn thing)
I do believe in some version of the fish gods giving you the nod when you somehow deserve it. Now would be the time to reflect on my recent behavior...
Oh, now I remember, I was on my soapbox yesterday responding to Aucilla's question about whether the shore fishing looked like a good option at Wakulla Beach. I wrote that sure, shore fishing is great, before I ranted about how a kayak is so much better blah blah.
Remembering this only makes sense when I connect it to the fact that as I pulled up to the lighthouse I saw a guy wading 20 yards out and what's he doing? Battling a very big trout. I say yahoo, its on!
Right.

Appreciate your effort just the same and your report. What time did you put in?

fished 2 hours, 5 -7:00. Tide fell quickly & at 5:00 the wind was west about 20 k :smt087 That was a challenge. I'm always surprised at how much weather the kayak can handle. I got a little wet with waves breaking on the bow but it was reasonable. The wind did settle between 6:30 & sunset -7:00.

Right.

Litt,
Yu are da' man, as far as I'm concerned! You know that! You report the good, the bad, and the ugly, all in the interest of science!

SO, I still need to know: Are you saying that WADE fishing, as opposed to SHORE fishing is good now? At least for Cynoscion nebulosis?

Sorry you didn't catch anything..... Fishing in the wind is not much fun, but it sure beats the heck out of a day at the office.
