From Wed May 1 Tallahassee Democrat
...A couple of weekends ago, Margaret and hubby Byron were fishing off the coast of Carrabelle with their friends Ray and Donna McKenzie. Cobia were teasing them from 10 feet below the surface but showed no interest in their bait. Until the right bait came along.
As Donna was standing and fishing, she saw something coming at her, and wham, she got slammed in the stomach by a flying fish that Ray estimated flew 30 feet before hitting her.
Ignoring her bruises, Donna , trouper that she is, put that feisty, 10 inch fish on her hook and threw it back in and quickly pulled in a 30 lb Cobia.
