Fished Econfina Saturday with my brother and nephew. I'll give you the short version (I am at work) and I'll post pictures later at home. My nephew loaded the livewell full of pins. Unfortunately they did not produce the trout we were hoping for. 1 trout on a live pinfish, and a couple on DOA's with no CT. Most of the trout came on a DOA under a CT. Started the day with only 3 DOA's on the tackle box. Lost one to a toothy critter, so we had to make the other two last all day. Super glue came in handy for keeping our DOA's intact through all of those fish. Did not catch a trout all day on jigs. :o The water is still very stained. I could not see the DOA under my CT. We had very low water coming back in at 5:30. Fortunately we were in the Seminole Classic with a Go-Devil. We would not have made it in with an outboard.

Here are our totals:
12 keeper trout - 2 over 20"
about 20-25 short trout (3-4 were 14-3/4)
2 sailcat
1 hardhead cat
1 shark
1 puffer
1 lizard fish

I was wondering if you went east or west? I haven't been to the east in a while and was wondering how the fishing was over that way.

GS- Seems like a fishing trip ain't quite complete unless you catch at least one lizzard fish-

MJ, that one looks small enough to use for bait, but what would eat something that looks that ugly?
