I just got one question. Where did they all go?? We left Mashes Sands around 9:30 Sunday AM. Spent a minute rounding up some live bait and headed out for what we thought would be a "box full of grouper" kinda day. Even brought the wives for extra limits. Well we started at the Rotary Reefs just to see what the crowd was doing out there. There were about 8 boats anchored out there so we put out some strech 25's and made one pass around them. They weren't in the water 3 minutes and fish on. Well, I would have reeled a little slower if I had known that would be the only grouper of the day. It was a nice gag (20 incher) that had to be returned to the water. Well the Rotary turned into the Marker 24 and that turned into the Oar reefs and every where in between. Burned about $50.00 in gas and came home a little dissapointed until I realized it just wasn't happening this weekend. But, what beautiful weather. I guess the fish took a vacation too????

Here is the only willing Grouper in the gulf :D

It's too early for them close in spots, you need to go at least 40 miles out  .....Think the weather (blue bird) was the cause...Though I did hear of some keeper grouper and over slot reds being caught in an undisclosed land based spot :o :-D

Good go at it....nothing broke right....

You realize bringing the wives along is gonna affect the fishing one way or the another  Hopefully next time you'll fill up the box. Nice day on the water though  Thanks for the report.......
