Left the fort an hour after a neg low tide, made it out of the chanel on trolling motor power. Very foggy and little cool for my daughter , new son in law and myself so decided to hang around the oyster bars and try our luck, a few rock bass and time passed so we decided to head west and drift the flats.
Ct and DOA glow shrimp was the ticket and we got maybe 30 trout and 3 keepers
after the bite slowed, we headed east to try some macks. Got ahold of a few more shorts and a couple of really big lady fish, which gave my son-in-law the pull he was looking for.
The weather could not have been better, if I saw a 2 foot wave it was a wake.
Really great day on the water with old and new family.
