St. Marks, 11/13, Inshore, Offshore, Inshore PICS/UPDATE
Posted: November 13th, 2004, 9:22 pm
A little rough about 9AM at the bird rack, Darn cold too. Noticed I was low on oil and had to head back to shields just as a boat caught on fire at the ramp. Headed back out and tried the flats 1 mi. sse of the LH in 2.5', tons of shorts, two keepers. Went to 4.5', no takers. Wind calmed about 11.
Headed to Wakulla Reef. 4 gags, one short and one borderline released. One huge remora, one 3' bonnethead, one 3' sand shark. Time to go.
Hit the flats 1 mi. se of the lh, 2 shorts, tried east river bars, nada.
Weather man was way, way off. Calm as could be after 11AM, warm and sunny by 1PM. Wind at Wakulla Reef was from the SSW. Wind at the LH was from the WNW, go figure.
Neighbors caugh fish on live shrimpunder a CT and bumped off the bottom, and squid. I caught absolutely nothing on artificials of all variety.
Cranfield posed the questions earlier this week "what would you do if you could not go fishing again?" I guess I would just take other folks fishing.
UPDATE: We caught the offshore fish on squid. All inshore on shrimp.
Seems like every time I take my neighbors fishing they establish firsts. First grouper over the side, first trigger, first reds. I remain skunked.
Her is one of my good neighbors Tony, with his first ever grouper, it went back.

Here is Dexter awaiting any scraps from the Trigger, he thinks it smells tasty:
