Lake Talquin
Speckled-perch enthusiasts are doing well fishing around the mouths of creeks in about 10-to-12 foot depths and up in the mouth of the Ochlockonee River above Coe's Landing. Minnows and Hal-Flies work best. Bream have been feeding along the shoreline in 3-to-4 foot depths. The best approach is to fish with crickets in the late afternoon. Only a few largemouth bass are being caught, but there are plenty of catfish willing to eat earthworms or one of the commercial "stink-bait" products.
Lake Seminole
Bass fishing has been slow on Lake Seminole for the most part, with only one report of a big stringer taken up the Chattahoochee River on Rat-L-Traps. Speckled perch fishing also has been mostly slow with only a few anglers landing fish. Those that did caught some nice "slabs".
