st joe trout report

We fished in this months club tournament at st joe bay on saturday the 18th. We launched at Presnells around 8:30 after the mourning storms cleared up. We found some grass flats near an island as you head left from Presnells (i have no idea the name of it). We fished patches of sand and seagrass having most of our luck in 3-4 feet of water. We caught 8 keeper trout all at least 18 inches and the biggest being a 23inch 3 1/2 pound trout. We were catching most of them on mirrolure she dogs. Picked up one redfish only 16 inches. Headed for the weigh in only to be told that the tournament was extended another hour. Ended up coming in 3rd place after a great day on the water.
