I Watched the weather up until the last minute and decided to go for it. Friday started out iffy but by lunch it started laying down and the fish bit good all day. I ran out of live bait within 3 hours and frozen bite was slow. Fridays total was 5 gags to 32", alot of shorts and a limit (4) on large AJs, and two snappers,. Sat. was a clear blue bird sky kind of day and started good with a 28" gag but the bite died with a long slack period at low tide. As soon as the water started moving good we had to go and clean the boat up. Totals for sat. was 2 keeper gags, alot of shorts, 1 redfish and another limit on the AJs. We had plenty of pins left that we let go offshore to feed the reef donkeys (AJs). The temp in the bay in the AM was 55, and offshore it was around 60. Note, we got two grouper that had very heavy circle hooks and about 16" leader hanging out of there mouths. They appeared to be stainless with no signs off corrosion. 8)

Good deal. We are going to be down the week between Christmas and New Years. Maybe the weather will cooperate and we can slip out and try them. Haven't had a good AJ pull since this summer.

Good report Fox. We're glad to hear they're still out there.
