What is the difference between regular Mercurys and the Mercury Forces? Thanks for any help!

The force is the old Chrysler outboard. Brunswick bought Bayliner and Force. They put the Merc name on the Force motors.
What was I supposed to do today?

tin can....... is corect on Mercury buying out the force motor from force it's self......Mercury has mad a lot of inprovements over the years since buying them out.....Infact the new 25 horse is all Mercury it is a 3 cylinder made from scrach by Mercury....it is one good motor from what I have bin told......still a low end motor made by Mercury it has come a long way thats for sure from what the force was......
