I put in at the fort at 0745 and ran through the for (carefully) to 36 feet of water. Seas were flat all the way out. The surface temp was 60 degrees. The water was clear. Trolled for a while. Nothing. Started drifting and dragging a frozen LY. By 1300 I had caught 20 short grouper and probably 50 large sea bass. Moved in to 26 feet of water. Six more short grouper and more sea bass. Stopped by my close in spot on the way in. Nothing. The wind picked up about 1500 and the seas got up to a very choppy 1.5'. On the trailer at 1630.
Just an FYI for everyone. There was a gentleman at the boat ramp that told me his trailer was stolen off of the back of his truck during the day. Thats the first I've heard of anyone losing a trailer at The Fort. I think I'll start using my lock.

I wore the tube top and Daisy Dukes today.
It was better than working. I had a good time, and caught a bunch of fish. Just no keeper grouper. The sea bass were all in the 12" to 15" range, They're fun to catch, but they kept stealing my LY's.
BTW, I don't paint.

Didn't try jigs. Figgered out they wanted something sitting still.
I see another lure has caught a fisherman, again.

I can tell you from first had experience that the grouper are not lethargic. They are quite active with bottom temps in the 60's. Jigs should do fine. I saw the finest 5 man limit of grouper I have ever seen in Carrabelle on Saturday that came from 100 feet on live pinfish.

That would certainly suck to have your trailer stolen off your truck!!!

I think I would come unglued.
